Rajasthan University in the race of the A grade university

Rajasthan University in the race of the A grade university after 12 years.

In 2004, Rajasthan University was given A plus grade by NAAK (National assessment and accreditation council) after seeing its overall performance. According to rules, this accreditation expired in 2009. After that Prof Devsawroop, the present VC of University had written to NAAK and tried again in this regard. Deepak Bhatnagar was made convener for the same. Therefore, Rajasthan University is in the race again for A plus grade this year. The proposal file was sent to NAAK on 30th September for the certificate.

NAAK is an independent autonomous body established by UGC in 1994. It accredits the higher education institutes in the country. The grade is granted for 5 years. A, B, C and D grades are granted for the same. The team ranks the university in 4 points after visiting the premises. A grade is granted after coming above than 3.5 rank. 
NAAK team will decide upon the grade in Feb 2016.

The team of experts from NAAK will visit the university between 24 and 27 Feb. 2016. The team will investigate the reports sent by Rajasthan University and check what the real state of matters is. The team works on many guidelines like vision of university, overall performance, infrastructure, and the timeline of programs, number of teachers, and the output of research. In addition, the extra curriculum activities, achievements of students and teachers and discipline of campus are also seen along with the examination system.
